After starting my career in journalism as a photographer and photo editor in the local section of the NRZ/WAZ newspaper, I became a senior photo editor and sports photographer at German newspaper Bild in 2008, primarily shooting German Bundesliga and was responsible for sports in North Rhine-Westphalia. Thereafter I learned with Getty Images, covering international sports events from organizations such as DFB, DFL, FIFA and UEFA as well as entertainment assignments. In 2017 I joined epa | european pressphoto agency as part of the newly established team of photographers covering Germany. I'm based near the state capital Duesseldorf.
